Glow in the dark stars for ceilings and for walls. Stars that are made for black, Navy or dark surfaces. Ceiling star stickers that glow with a bright center, and gentle subtle halo - you'll see the blue color that I use if you charge with a blacklight.

If you have painted your wall or ceiling black, Navy, Blue, purple or any dark color, we've designed these stars to look really nice against those dark surfaces by day and at night.

Each star sticker will appear frosty white during the day with a touch of glitter to dress them up. Each star kit includes stars in 4 sizes.

We use the best quality pigments and have taken extra steps to make your stars look amazing day or night.

What is included:

1 Star Kit contains 158 Stars in 4 sizes and 3 color hues.
This kit is designed to give your star mural a really cool 3D effect.

Colors:

By Day your stars will appear frosty white against your dark surface - You can use these on any color surface, but they are specially designed to look nice and glow well against dark surfaces.
This star kit also includes a touch of glitter.
These are Halo Stars - so each and every star has a Blue Outer Halo Aura that glows around the star center.


Effect:

The night time effect of these stars is absolutely beautiful, the blue hazy glow is mesmerizing. Your eyes will adjust to the dark after about 20 minutes or so - then you'll see more of a whitish natural glow unless you leave a black light on.
I recommend charging them 100% using a UV Black light (at least 20w) if you want them to glow their brightest.
If you do not want to use special lighting - just make sure that they are exposed to light during the day so they will glow for you. You'll also want to make sure that your room is
as dark as possible at night so the stars do not have to compete with lights from electronics, phones, tv's, computer monitors, or light coming in from the hall.

How many star kits do I need?

Start with 1 Star Kit per 4' x 4' area. This will give you good coverage. You can add stars and decals to your mural and build it up over time.

The densest coverage should go on the area right over your bed - you can fade out with less dense coverage beyond that viewing area. I will includes instructions to help you with your layout.

These star kits can go on Walls, or Ceilings.

Helpful Hints:


- The darker the room the better for any glow in the dark decals or star sets. LED lights should be covered for best viewing. Make your ceiling look as black as possible by removing all extra light sources and your glow in the dark stars and decals will look amazing.

- UV BLACK LIGHTS are recommended to super charge your glow decals. If you do not use a black light, your stars will still glow more naturally, but not as bright at first.

- FOR NEWLY PAINTED SURFACES - Please allow 30 days for your paint to cure before applying decals.

- Decals work best on clean residue free surfaces.

Install:
All you need is a step ladder and about an hour or 1-2 of your time to cover your entire ceiling. Since you'll be on a ladder, a helper is recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do your murals glow?

All night long - you'll still see your night sky images just before the sun comes up.

Do the stars actually twinkle?

The stars appear to twinkle and glimmer - it's an illusion created by the paint releasing light through the night, and your eyes playing tricks on you :-)

Do you need to use a black light or any special lighting?

It depends on the glow effect that you want. If you want a natural glow like the real night sky, you won't need a black light charge - just natural light during the day should be enough unless your room is really dark all day long. If you want a bright colorful glow at first, please use a UV black light. UV Black light flood lights at 30w are good for charging a bedroom ceiling.

Will the glow keep me awake?

No - it usually has just the opposite effect. The Glow is gentle - most people find it relaxing - it actually helps you calm down so that you can drift off to sleep.

I painted my ceiling black, will your stars work on a dark ceiling?

I have stars made for dark surfaces. Not all stars will do well on a dark ceiling for 2 reasons. 1. The dark backing will not allow the stars to absorb enough light to glow like they should, or as long as they should. 2. Unless I've designed them for a dark surface, they may not look as nice against the dark surface when the lights are on. If you want to paint your ceiling black or dark colors so that you have a night sky mural during the day too, please order from our section for dark ceilings. If you don't see exactly what you want there, contact me for a custom product.

You have a lot of stars to pick from, which should I get?

I would be glad to help you choose a star set for your particular taste.

Halo Stars are made to glow gently and realistically.
Dome Stars like Ultra Bright, Aqua Bright, and Small but bright are made to glow all night long, and are bright - I use a very strong glow pigment mix in these stars.

3D star types are great for textured ceilings and theatre rooms where you will want to see your stars when the room is semi-dark. A black light is recommended in theatre rooms.

Halo Stars for Black (Dark) ceilings - have a special backing that lets them glow beautifully against a dark surface, and have a decorative finish by day.

TIP: The more concentrated your star layout, the brighter it will appear at night. Don't scatter them to far apart.

Is installation available?
